ITG is proud to announce that Aldo Ferrante, ITG President, was interviewed and published in the June 27th issue of CONTROL. The article focuses on doing more with less, including moving production data faster and more efficiently from process applications, field equipment, and plant-floors up to decision-makers and enterprise levels.
Aldo specifically spoke about Message Queue Telemetry Transport (MQTT)and alternative paths, saying,”The development of alternate paths will evolve to other alternate networks, such as mesh-canopy networks, Wi-Fi and cellular networks. In addition to sensors and control data, video and textual data will be combined to build even more complex models to decrease downtime and improve operations. The concept of smart virtual operators will replace the traditional operator as we know it, reducing the need for manual labor and people required to operate manufacturing facilities.”
